Course Summary:
Learn how to restore your clients’ myofascial balance &
Relieve myofascial pain instantly and long lasting

The Myofascial K Taping method
The Myofascial K Taping method is based on myofascial balance, improvement of muscle function, improvement of motion with increased range and killing pain in one therapy session.
The method, its approach, physiological effects and the myofascial taping techniques are totally different and further developed to the regular kinesiology taping.
The underlying principle is to have an intensive influence and effect on myofascia.
The myofascial taping will bring you more success for your therapy, injury or pain prevention and sporting performance.

Course content
This course allows students to learn the method and concepts of Myofascial kinesiology taping and advanced practical skills of screening and application to start to apply it to many clinical scenarios. This course is a comprehensive practical training course, designed to show how the Myofascial kinesiology taping method is used (also alongside other therapeutic interventions especially physiotherapy, osteopathy and sports therapy).
Besides profound theory and presentation of scientific studies the course includes integrative and systemic myofascial therapy concepts with myofascial release and myofascial activation techniques with the tape.

The difference between the 1 day intensive foundation course and the 2 days foundation course
It has the same contents and uses the same course manual. The theoretical part has pretty much the same length. The practical part is a bit condensed. In the 2 days foundation course all the applications will be demonstrated, practiced and discussed. In the 1 day foundation course the most important applications will be demonstrated, practiced and discussed. But, some of the applications will only be discussed.
The 1 day intensive foundation course is for therapists who don’t have a lot of time and especially for therapist who want to complete the foundation and the sport performance/ sport trauma course within one weekend (Sat/ Sun).
Generally, we highly recommend booking a 2 days foundation course, since the method is fairly new, with many new aspects on fascia, Anatomy Trains and it is fully packed with tons of practical applications and clinical scenarios to get started with the Myofascial Taping method right after the course.

Focus on Myofascia
Results of fascia research over the last few years (2008-2010) have shown that fascia plays a much more important role than expected and has major effects on pain generation, stability, movement dynamics, force distribution and proprioception.
These new results have been the motivation for Markus Erhard to start developing new taping techniques and treatment approach that is sufficient and according to the myofascial system.
Myofascial K Taping is based on the nature of the myofascia and its fascial network.
Whatever else muscles do individually, they also influence functionally integrated body-wide continuities within the fascial webbing. These lines follow the wrap of the body’s connective tissue fabric, forming traceable 'meridians' of myofascia. Thomas Myers with his Anatomy Concept was one of the greatest influences of developing the Myofascial Taping Method.
The Myofascial K Taping method is focusing myofascia according to the revolutionary Anatomy Trains concept with many fascia techniques to regulate local and global fascia and muscle tension. For the best results and immediate objective marker changes the courses include many clinical and practical tests to demonstrate the immediate effects of tape application.
The applications come not in a totally set pattern. Due to the specific dysfunctions and different presentations of the myofascial system of the patient the screening and the applications become as individual as possible to get optimum results. Finally, the combination of myofascial release and activity techniques, and the presented knowledge on the nature of the fascia within the myofascial system make the difference to your clinical practice.
One taping session brings astonishing results instantly. Some consecutive applications make it long lasting.

Structure of the course
The day consists of both theory and practical (80%) sessions with some time for discussion.

Who the course is aimed at
Physiotherapists, osteopaths, sports therapists, manual and movement therapists and those involved with sports medicine wishing to learn this unique and innovative myofascial taping concept.

CPD points
1 day intensive foundation course: 8 CPD points
2 days foundation course: 14 CPD points

Course fee
Includes tape material, drinks, biscuits, colored high quality course manual and certificate.

Success
Many of our unique applications are evidence based:
They kill pain 100% in more than 90% of all cases like supraspinatus impingement, SIJ blockage, back pain, tennis and golfer’s elbow, headache, muscle strain. The taping techniques often cure even migraine and tinnitus.

Pre course preparation
Pre course reading will be provided after definite booking and payment. One or two weeks before the course

What is Myofascial Taping:
• New holistic myofascial concept
• Based on restoring / improving myofascial balance
• Focus on Myofascia and its local and global connections
– By ACTIVATION and RELEASE techniques of the myofascia

• Integration of the Anatomy Trains Concept from Tom Myers
• Improvement of muscle function, motion, range
• Killing pain in one therapy session
• Structural change of fascia

Learn how to:
• make distinct changes in your clients’ myofascial tension
and structure restoring myofascial balance
• read and test your client’s fascia, and dysfunctions
• Learn about the nature of fascia and its local and
global connections
• prevent injury, relieve pain and facilitate motion
• enhance your therapy and sporting performance in an
effective and efficient way...

Evidence Based
Markus Erhard and the Physio Training Academy with its worldwide network of doctors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, sports scientists, lecturers and many people from fascia research are involved in many research projects and studies. The evidence gained goes back into the courses and development of techniques and therapy approach to keep up our overall goal - to provide the most innovative and effective myofascial therapy method.
The studies are also part of the course.

Treat acute and long standing pain with success
Never before treatment of myofascial pain and dysfunctions have been so effective.
Acute and long standing myofascial pain that keeps people and athletes from moving properly and musculoskeletal problems that seemed to take long time to resolve or reduce are often fixed in one therapy session which usually takes only a few minutes.
You and especially your patients and athletes will be impressed.
That is what we guarantee.

No 1 in sports
One of the most important advantages for sports is that the effects are maintained, during any movement or any sport – 24/7. Athletes get back much earlier to training or competition with less risk of injury.
The basic course is essential for the further Sports Performance/ Sports Trauma course.

Certified practitioners
Our certified practitioners include physiotherapists at the health sector and English elite sport clubs and over 30 national teams and many other therapists from NHS to elite sports and national teams worldwide.
